Singapore - 4 Jun 2024: Suhas Dixit, founder and CEO of APChemi Circular BV, a pioneering force in advanced recycling, delivered a keynote presentation titled "Purified Pyrolysis Oil: Enabling Chemical Recycling" at the Advanced Recycling Workshop 2024 organised by Smithers in Singapore on June 4, 2024. The event brought together industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the field of advanced recycling.
APChemi, headquartered in the Netherlands, has an impressive track record of developing 47 commercial-scale pyrolysis projects and processing over 179 million kilograms of plastic waste through 1.3 million hours of pyrolysis technology operation. During his presentation, Dixit emphasised the importance of benchmarking pyrolysis oil quality for advanced recycling and introduced the innovative concept of pyrolysis oil mapping in relation to quality and cost.
Dixit also highlighted the significance of collaboration between international companies and local pyrolysis providers and unveiled strategic pathways in pyrolysis-based advanced recycling. Attendees were particularly intrigued by the unique advantages of APChemi's technology, especially the high Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of their pyrolysis oil purification system.
